Choices

Most of us wish for good health. My belief is everyone should be knowledgeable about their own health and wellness. When a health challenge occurs for a patient, I offer choices of care based on my 17 years of experience.

Type of Care

Care programs are determined on an individual basis;

  • intensive - relief orientated
  • rehabilitation - promoting inner well being
  • maintenance - regular support
  • During the acute stage of your condition, visits can be frequent depending upon the severity of your challenge. The main objective is to reduce your symptoms and discomfort. A progress examination will determine when you move into the rehabilitation phase of care. At this stage the objective is to stabilize your condition and allow your body to heal completely. Here exercise becomes important. When the restoration of health is symptomatically and objectively achieved, many patients choose regular chiropractic adjustments similar in goal as automobile and dental maintenance.

Based on your lifestyle and health background, an optimal schedule of preventative chiropractic care will be set with check ups to make sure all is well. Most patients enjoy more energy and vitality when they are adjusted regularly.

    Sports

I work with many atheletes and sports people who sustain frequent strains and injuries. I have developed a strong program to address their specific needs and assist them in retaining flexibility and good postural health. Since an early age I have actively participated in sports, becoming an avid runner completing in marathons, 10K races and 2 triathlons. My own experience in athletics has given me invaluable insight to the stresses and conditions that can arise and the personal knowledge necessary to assist me in treating and correcting these conditions.

"I see the chiropractor on a regular basis. I find that after my treatments I have better flexibility and improved range of motion. I recover quicker from injuries. I have more "jump" in my game and it improves my performance."

    Rehabilitation and Maintenance
    Why?

  • Research suggests ligaments and muscles take longer to heal than indicated by how you feel.

  • Prevention of relapses. Regular adjustments can help avoid the ups and downs of flare ups.

  • Avoidance of future problems. Various stresses, both emotional and physical, occur every day in our lives and preventative adjustments can help you keep your spine and nervous system well. Result - you are more able to cope and keep your health well.

  • Economic sense. Regular chiropractic care can help avoid the expense of dealing with avoidable problems, in much the same way regular brushing can assist in avoiding expensive dental treatments!

  • Feel great. Enjoy your life to the fullest without the restrictions and pain.

  • Become a participant in your health. Learn to be an active participant in your recovery, ask questions, become involved and informed. The more energy you put into your health the more rewards you will get out of it!

  • Kids and Babies

Young children benefit greatly from chiropractic treatment. I have three beautiful children who I care for by giving them regular chiropractic treatments. Keeping the spine healthy through regular spinal check-ups is just as important for children as it is for adults.

The birth process is potentially traumatic to a baby. During the pushing stage the cervical spine may be injured as the baby is compressed and pushed down the birth canal. Chiropractic analyzes and corrects subluxations, or misalignments, caused at birth. Common symptoms of misalignments can be colic and ear disorders. Any trauma that injures the spine, such as falls, sports, even posture can affect the development of the growing spine. Growing pains in children are not normal and may signal spinal nerve problems. Prevention and early detection is important.
